Creating a New Job
How to create a job and fill in customer and service details.
Click "New Job" from the Jobs page or the sidebar shortcut. Fill in the customer's name, phone number, email, and service address. Then select the service type — the options are tailored to your industry (for example, an appliance repair shop chooses an appliance type like Refrigerator or Washer).
Equipment Details
Optionally record the equipment brand, model number, and serial number. Add an issue category and a free-text description of the problem the customer reported.
Automatic Job Creation
Jobs can also be created automatically from several sources: the AI Voice Receptionist when it answers a customer call, Thumbtack lead imports, or the public online booking page. These auto-created jobs are tagged with their source for easy identification.
